New retail price, manufacturer-certified refurbished, and used marketplace listings are gathered for the same item — not just one channel.
Return window, warranty coverage, seller rating, and platform buyer protection get weighed against the discount. A cheaper price with no recourse loses to a slightly higher one that's covered.
Only listings that clear the bar for "will still work when it arrives" are eligible for the cheapest spot. Everything else shows, but doesn't get stamped.
